NYT confirms startling detail about Palin child's name!
Yes, indeed, as I had speculated, the NYT has now definitively confirmed that infant Trig's second middle name โ he's officially "Trig Paxson Van Palin" โ was indeed intended as a pun on the name of the rock group Van Halen and its stars of that same surname, Eddie and Alex. That's some hard-hitting MSM reporting for you!
The world anxiously awaits Van Halen's infringement and take-down notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

Piper Palin for presidential candidate in 2040?
*heh*
The way she "marshalled the troops" at the convention, managing family members, etc., made her look like the "strong-willed" young girl Sarah Palin's dad described from her early years. While I'm not much of a fan of political dynasties, here's hoping the apple falls not far from the tree.

Beldar - thank you do much for all of the posts introducing us to Gov. Palin. Thanks to you, I was able to calmly and confidently defend her as some of my (slightly) left-wing friends became unhinged last week.
David - I totally agree. Piper stole the show. The one thing that the MSM really has to work on is the fact that Trig is a boy, not a girl as they keep reporting.

"...So baby dry your eyes
Save all the tears you've cried
Oh, that's what dreams are made of
'Cause we belong in a world that must be strong
Oh, that's what dreams are made of..."
Makes a nice lullaby, dontcha think?

The more they go after these kids, the deeper the hole they're digging for their guy. So at least there's that.
Remind me: Why isn't it okay to ask Chelsea about Monicagate?

Obama whined today about how Palin "was for it before she was against it" on the Bridge to Nowhere. But, he said, in a whiney tone: "You can't just make stuff up!"
Barack Obama voted for the Bridge to Nowhere.

Obama stated that he would not want his daughters to have to spend the rest of their lives paying for a mistake they made when they were younger.
What was going through his mind as these words were coming out of his mouth?
Fact-Obama's mother was 17 when she got pregnant. (Unless Obama was a preemie.)
Fact-Obama was born 6 months after his parents were married.
Fact-Abortion was not legal when Obama was born.
