Libby and Berger

Does it occur to anyone else that Patrick Fitzgerald ought to be appointed immediately to be Special Counsel to investigate whether there was any obstruction of justice or perjury in connection with the Sandy Berger investigation, prosecution, and plea bargain?

Wouldn't that shut up just about everybody on everything, at least for a little while?

(Of course it wouldn't, but I can dream.)

He has a lot of important work backed up in Daleyville, with only two years to get both the Governor and Da Mayor into the orange jumpsuits they deserve.

But it would be fun.

Don't get me started. I happen to thing the Berger thing is the crime of the century, which is to say the last 7 years. Still....

But beyond Berger himself, where/what are other smoking gusn, eg the Novak Article, that could light the match?
