No word whether the goose was in a loincloth
John Kerry went hunting. "Now here's where the story gets strange, as only a John Kerry story can get," explains Radio Blogger, and he's right.

Did you also notice from the photos how "crispy-new" his hunting apparel is?

I wonder if that was that 16 point goose he missed on another "Adventure of Captain America" episode?

When Kerry inhaled the smoke after firing his shotgun, it made him violently sneeze and he wrote himself up for another purple heart.

For some reason this reminds me of the guy who, upon being introduced to the President (it was either Bush I or Clinton) in a reception line was asked how many kids he had. Having heard an earlier person say, "Two -- one of each," and being in pixieish mood he said, "Three -- one of each." To which the President nodded and said that that was nice. Perhaps Sen. Kerry was in a pixieish mood himself.

no goose in hand, spanking new hunting outfit, goofy smile, thumbs up for the photogs -- is this a Dukakis in the tank moment?

In reading further about this, I've read that at some point in coming back, he had blood on his left hand. This was shot by someone with a telephoto lens. He was apparently sucking his hand up into the sleeve because, as they noticed as he walked by, the hand no longer had blood. One freeper wrote in that as a hunter (a Texan no less), none of what happened was anything less than a completely prearranged event. Totally PC not carrying the goose or letting them see the blood on his hand.
According to the hunter from Texas, he doesn't think this charade will do anything either way. Any NRA member or true sportsman already has this clown figured out.

Would somebody PLEASE tell Kerry that the word "HUNT" does not appear in the 2nd Amendment?!
Kerry is the phoniest panderer ever to run for the presidency.
"Lambert Field."
"I will hunt down and kill the terrorists."
"I will bring my faith with me into the Oval Office."
"I will make the blind see, and the crippled walk" - or was that Edwards?????
And how about all those plans he has, but never EVER has any time to really go into...
But the goose chase he took reporters on today - 10/21/04 -tops them all. Today, Kerry went goose hunting in OHIO.
As this quote from the AP proves Kerry is a phony panderer: "BOARDMAN, Ohio (AP) - Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry said he bagged a goose on his swing-state hunting trip Thursday, but his real target was the voters who may harbor doubts about him."
Cheney quickly SHOT DOWN any idea that Kerry's hunting safari was anything except a SHAM: Cheney said Kerry's camouflage jacket was ``an October disguise - an effort he's making to hide the fact that he votes against gun owner rights at every turn.'' [...] ``My fellow sportsmen, this cover-up isn't going to work,'' Cheney said, speaking to supporters in an upscale Toledo suburb that borders the Ohio-Michigan state line. ``The Second Amendment is more than just a photo opportunity.''
That's right: the Second Amendment is all about the right to Self Defense - not hunting. And owning a gun for self defense is right which Kerry's Senate record proves he believes can be and should be severely abridged.
If you believe that we all have the right to defend ourselves and our property - with guns if we so choose - then you cannot vote Kerry.
Kerry's position on gun rights is DEFENSELESS.

What I like best about this entire event is that A) Four goosers were shot but only three appear in the photos (did one go m.i.a.?). And B) the Kerry camp said he used a Mossberg 12Ga. pump. Clearly the gun resting over his arm with the breech broke open isn't a pump. Looks to be a double barrel over-under. C) Mossberg is a bottom end gun maker. I don't see him owning anything but the best. Seems odd to me.

So is Kerry for animal rights or gun rights? I'm confused.

Kerry's never been for gun rights. He's just following the script written at the DLC's "God, Guns, and Guts" conference last year. In the best example of cynical exploitation, the idea was to use Americans for Gun Safety (AGS) money to fund research into "redefining the message" so that the issue --gun control-- would reworded to sound more acceptable to ordinary people.
Kerry's never seen a gun-control measure he didn't like, and he locksteps with Schumer, Boxer, Feinstein, and Kennedy. He's got a perfect rating by the Brady Campaign, formerly Handgun Control, a group that says you have no right to own any gun. He's endorsed by PETA and the Humane Society, groups that would ban all hunting.
In the middle of the nomination campaign this spring, both he and Edwards returned to the Senate for the sole purpose of blocking a tort reform bill to protect firearms manufacturers from liability for the misuse of their products.
Kerry's voted 11 times to impose waiting periods on gun buyers. Voted to ban most center-fire rifle ammunition, including the most common ones used by deer hunters. Cosponsored legislation this year which would banned all semi-automatic shotguns, all semi-automatic rifles with detachable magazines, and many other guns commonly used by sportsmen --including the gift shotgun he received from the United Mine Workers in Racine, WV.
Just during this campaign, almost every statement Kerry made about firearms has contained untruths: His hilarious semi-automatic "Communist Chinese assault rifle" magically transformed into bolt-action military rifle. Extemely different rifles that any novice could tell apart.(Blamed on aides who filled out the magazine's questionnaire)
From his description of eating dove, hunting dear with decoys, and this latest 'goose hunt"; nobody's who's hunted in the last ten years is falling for it. That's where the AGS agenda falls apart --Kerry just can't hide the truth consistently enough.
